A small company with one job to do

ChangeNod is a product of Vexa Automations LLC, an Oklahoma company based in Meridian. We build software for people who work with their hands and would rather not spend their evenings on paperwork.

ChangeNod exists because of one specific, expensive problem: the extra work a contractor agrees to on site and never gets paid for, because nobody wrote it down. We did not want to build another app a contractor has to learn. We wanted the thing they already do, texting, to be enough.

The rules we build by

1. 1

   The contractor never learns an app.

   The whole interface is a text message. The dashboard is for looking things up, never for getting the work done. Any feature that only works if you open a screen is a feature we got wrong.

2. 2

   Never move money without a person saying so.

   Software proposes, people decide. The contractor confirms before a client sees anything; the client approves before an invoice exists. Two gates, every time.

   Never guess which job a text is about.

   A wrong match bills the wrong client. When ChangeNod is not sure, it asks.

   Never touch the money.

   Invoices are raised on the contractor’s own Stripe account and paid there. ChangeNod has no account that holds anyone’s funds, and never will.

   Stay in the money lane.

   Change orders, approvals, invoices, reminders. Not scheduling, not estimating, not job costing. The tool does one job well and stays out of the way of the rest.
